Cookies are small text files that websites save in the user's browser while browsing. They allow the site to remember the user's preferences and actions over time, to provide a smoother and more personalised experience.
In addition to traditional cookies, we use similar technologies such as the browser's localStorage, used to store session preferences in the application area of Synqo One (a platform of 3.0 SRL) (e.g. the selected catalogue and channel).
Synqo One uses a single cookie, which is technical. It does not require consent (Art. 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code) because it serves only to remember one of your display preferences.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| synqo_menu | Necessary | Remembers whether the side menu is open or collapsed, so that you find it as you left it when moving from one page to another. | 1 year |
Access to the platform is not managed with a session cookie. After logging in, the
browser receives a signed token, which it keeps in the tab's memory
(sessionStorage) and sends with every request in an
Authorization header. The token lasts 8 hours and is
invalidated when you log out, when you change your password or when an
administrator deactivates your user. It disappears when you close the browser tab.
A practical consequence: since it does not travel in a cookie, it cannot be sent covertly by another site (CSRF attack).
Synqo One does not use analytics or profiling cookies of any kind, and does not load any third-party scripts: no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no social widgets, no external content delivery network. All the code the browser executes comes from the Synqo domain.
The only exception is the page that opens inside the Shopify admin, for those who use the Synqo One app for Shopify: it loads Shopify's App Bridge script, which Shopify requires for apps embedded in its admin. Shopify's privacy policy applies to that script.
For this reason there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. This is not a feature on its way; it is a choice about how the product is built.
In the authenticated application area, Synqo One uses the browser's localStorage to store interface preferences that do not require communication with the server:
This data is kept exclusively in your browser and is not transmitted to Synqo One. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data from your browser.
You can manage, restrict or delete cookies directly from your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not prevent you from using Synqo One: the only cookie just remembers how the menu looks. If, however, you block the storage of site data altogether, which also includes sessionStorage and localStorage, you will not be able to stay logged in to the platform.
There is no choice to manage, because the only cookie is technical and there is no
tracking to accept or refuse. If you delete synqo_menu, the menu
simply returns to its default appearance.
On mobile devices, apps do not use cookies in the traditional sense. If you access Synqo One through a mobile browser, the same cookie rules apply as for desktop browsers.
synqo_menu: refusing it does not prevent you from using the platform; the menu simply goes back to how it looks by default.sessionStorage and localStorage): if you block it, you cannot log in to the platform, because the access token is kept there (section 2.2).This Cookie Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the use of cookies or developments in the law. The "last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent version. Material changes are communicated by email to registered users.
